LA MESA – Two armed men robbed Rosarito's taco shop on Lake Murray Boulevard near El Paso Street on Monday night, police said.
The men entered the business about 9 p.m. displaying large-caliber revolvers. One told a male clerk to get on the floor in the back of the restaurant, then took money from the register and the clerk's wallet and cell phone.
The other robber stood by a female clerk. Neither employee was injured.
The men fled on foot, and no vehicle was seen.
One robber was described as black, in his early 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a thin black shirt, blue jeans and a blue mask. The other was described as black, in his early 20s, and 5 feet 7 inches tall.
The amount taken was not known, police said.
